The PRC Introduces Affordable Spay & Neuter Clinic...
The mission of The PRC is to create an entity that can do more to save perfectly healthy dogs and cats that are being euthanized because an owner simply cannot afford a life saving procedure, or because we do not give them enough opportunity to be adopted by a loving family. The Pet Rescue Center was founded to give the gift of good health and home to sick and homeless dogs and cats and happiness to their guardians. In this effort, we would like to encourage dog and cat guardians to spay or neuter their pet. Please join us in this endeavor to change the fate of so many pets in Orange County, to allow them the respect and compassion due to them as loved members of a family, and where there is no more unnecessary euthanasia of adoptable animals in shelters or otherwise, due to overpopulation and strained resources.

Pricing schedule for spays/neuters:
Cat Neuter: $50
Cat Spay: $75
Dog Neuter under 20 lbs: $75
Dog Neuter over 20 lbs: $100
Dog Spay under 50 lbs: $100
Dog Spay over 50 lbs: $2/lb
Cat in heat surcharge: $20
Cat pregnant surcharge: $30
Dog in heat surcharge: $30
Dog pregnant surcharge: $50
*NO cryptorchid neuters.
**Vaccines and Microchips available the same day of the procedure will be at a discounted rate.
Information & Instructions:
Affordable Spay and Neuter Clinic offers low-cost spay and neuter services but with a high quality service. Most patients will receive an iv catheter and iv fluids during their procedure to ensure proper hydration and blood pressure. (Male cat neuters will not routinely receive iv catheters due to the short procedure time.)
Our patients will also be anesthetized with safe anesthetic agents and will be maintained during their procedures with Sevoflurane which is seen as the safest inhalant anesthetic in veterinary medicine. Patients will have anesthetic monitoring via pulse oximetry, EKG, and blood pressure. All patients will be sent home with pain medications at no extra charge.
We recommend but do not require pre-anesthetic blood work for all surgeries. Blood testing can be performed at an additional cost in the clinic the day of the procedure.
Our doctors are experienced and trained specifically on methods to increase safety and efficiency with spays and neuters. We only employ veterinarians that are licensed in California.

Having a pet in the family has always been a part of the equation for Kenn. From his two German Sheppard's as a child, to his Sister's dog "CJ", and now to his own beloved rescue dog "Booger", who him and his wife, Kate rescued from a shelter. So when long time friend Dr. Wheaton came to Kenn with the idea of the Affordable Spay & Neuter Clinic, Kenn was eager to jump on board. Running his own design company for the last six years, Kenn now looks forward to bringing his experience and dedication to the Affordable Spay & Neuter Clinic, to help the community with a growing need.
