We are a proud recipient of a Grant from Petfinder Foundation and ThunderShirt for 2014.

The Pet Rescue Center has received 5 ThunderShirts, valued at $199, to be used by our rescued pets. ThunderShirt’s gentle, constant pressure has a dramatic calming effect for most dogs and cats if they are anxious, fearful or over-excited.

The Petco Foundation along with Ellen Degeneres and her natural pet food company Halo, Purely for Pets, announced The Pet Rescue Center in Mission Viejo, as the grand prize winner of the Petco Foundation’s Holiday Wishes Grant Campaign, and presented the organization with a $100,000 grant to support its mission to save animal lives

We are a proud recipient of a $5,000 Founder’s Choice Grant from the ASPCA®
(The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) for 2013.

The Founders Choice Grant Contest is an opportunity for donors who are part of the APSCA Founder’s Society to nominate an animal welfare group that they believe is doing great work in their community. The Pet Rescue Center is one of three organizations throughout the United States to receive the award. The grant funds will be used to help with “pre-adoption” expenses of dogs and cats saved from local high-kill animal shelters and other at-risk situations.

The Build-A-Bear Workshop Bear Hugs Foundation desires to provide direct support for animals in domestic pet programs including animal welfare organizations, pet rescue and rehabilitation organizations, and therapeutic and humane education pet programs.
